It has been several years already since Forex4you started organizing “Best Profit” trading contests, and without any doubt it’s been a great success. Example of profitability calculation
Profitability calculations are very simple – trading results (profits) for the whole contest period are divided by the amount deposited during the contest. For example, on June 16th the balance (equity) was 2,500 USD. On July 1st 1,000 USD was added. By the end of July 15th account balance became 4,700 USD which means a profit of 1,200 USD. So, our profitability is 1,200 / (2,500 + 1,000) USD * 100 % = 34.29%. To avoid manipulations, withdrawals are not taken into account.
Conditions
1. Forex trading contests are being held on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis, and always start on Monday at 00:00 of the Central European Time (GMT+2).
2. Only real (live) accounts may participate in the contests. Expert advisers written in MQL4 (so called robots) are allowed without limitations.
3. Cent, classic and pro accounts are welcome to participate. Minimum equity* requirements for different account types are as follows:
for cent accounts: 1 USD or 0.75 EUR (starting from 11.10.2010)
for classic accounts: 100 USD or 75 EUR (starting from 11.10.2010)
for pro accounts: 1000 USD or 750 EUR (starting soon)
* Equity stands for free funds available on account
4. Clients may use contest account for live trading any time – before the contest, as well as after it, without any limitations – just like with any other, regular trading account. Moreover, balance operations such as deposits and withdrawals are allowed in any combination during the contest.
5. The only criterion for the selection of winners is account profitability, taking into account all deposit transactions. Therefore, the whole duration of the contest is considered as one investment period. To avoid manipulations, withdrawals are not taken into account.
6. In order to make the conditions of participation more equal for all the participants we normalize the result to the following leverage rates – 1:500 for cent accounts, 1:100 for classic accounts. It means, that if you earned X dollars with 1:100 leverage at the cents account, this amount will be considered as X * 5 at the rating, and if you earned Y dollars with 1:500 leverage at a classic account, this sum will be considered as Y / 5. (these terms apply from October 11, 2010).
7. Each client may have only one participating account. Extra accounts will be refused from participation in the contest.
8. Contest enrollment ends one day before the contest starts (at 18:00 GMT+2).
9. Durations of the contests available: one week, one month, one quarter.
10. Winners are announced on the first working day after the contest ends.
